Akebi Feedback #67

It'll be the best if it has romanization.... Because I don't know how to pronounce the words...

Sounds like a decent idea. I'll give it some thought.

Found a bug. When searching and drawing kanji, if you rotate the screen, you loose your input and need to re-draw your entry.

Ah yes, I know about this issue but I've been far too busy to fix it. Sorry. I hope to get to it soon.

Hey, just want to say that this is a great app. I dont think i will ever use the list function though. Also I think that adding a separate dictionary for simple expressions would be a good idea. (*^o^*)

OK, I'll give it some thought. Thanks!

I'm not sure if if I'm just missing something, but is there a way to copy/share an entire example sentence and not just its' components one by one? Because that's the only thing missing to make it the best app out there! Loving akebi (*´ω`*)

Sorry for the late response! I completely missed this one for some reason... That sounds like a good idea: I'll add that as a feature. I'm very very busy at the moment, so it could be a little while...

Akebi Feedback #62

Hi there,
Many words can have multiple meanings and tags. But, tags usually only appear in the first and last meanings. For instance the word 登る has more than five meanings on the list. The first is "to climb" and is tagged "godan verb ru-ending" & "intransitive verb". Meanwhile the lowest is "to come up (on the agenda)" & tagged "high usage". So, what are the tags for the other meanings on the list? Do the meanings that follow use the same tags as the last? I thought tags are useful in deciding which words are more used often, so it will be a great help if you can answer this so users like me can select more appropriate words

I believe that the tags on the first item only apply to the first item, and not to the items after that. This question relates to the formatting of the dictionary data I use. Take a look:

登る [のぼる] /(v5r,vi) (1) to ascend/to go up/to climb/(2) to ascend (as a natural process, e.g. the sun)/to rise/(3) to go to (the capital)/(4) to be promoted/(5) to add up to/(6) to advance (in price)/(7) to swim up (a river)/to sail up/(8) to come up (on the agenda)/(P)/

After the new update my lists are gone. Making them all over again impossible!! I'm so pissed!

(Received on 2014-03-10 08:43:30)
I was really worried this would happen to someone. I spent ages testing and re-testing the upgrade so that no data would be lost. Please send me an e-mail! I'll try to work this out with you. In the mean time, if your data is really important to you: don't use your device! The data may still be left on the device, we might be able to un-delete it! Please contact me if you want help! My email is on the Google Play page for Akebi.

This is awesome I really appreciate it. However is it possible to give a dark background option.

Well its a bit of a low priority, and I'd have to rework a lot of the icons... Maybe I can do something, but I have other things a little more important than that at the moment :)
