Find it really useful but it doesn't work well in landscape mode - everything is cut off because of all the space lost due to large margins everywhere. They don't really serve any purpose. Also, on the main screen after typing a new word to search for neither ok nor enter launches the search. Thanks for this app!

That's odd... I've heard of some other people experiencing UI scaling problems. I'll have a look into it. As for the enter button, that's certainly odd. Nobody else seems to be experiencing this problem... Thanks!

Hey, your app is really very helpful in studies.
it has all the features which are necessary.
i was wondering if you could give OCR Recognition ability to this app so that it would be much better dan it is now. thanks! :)

OCR huh? I'm sure I could work something out, however, there are far more important things for me to add to Akebi before hand! Thanks for the idea!

In the examples it would be nice to get furigana over the kanji. It easy to read the english translation, but you don’t have a clue how to speak the example sentence.

That would help a lot (or choose an english, japanese or "both" translation).

Well done, great app!

If you click on the little arrow next to the example sentences, it will split it up into the component words so you can see the furigana for the kanji. I should make this more obvious huh?! Thanks for the nice words!

I love the app, best Japanese dictionary app I've used, including paid ones, I do however have a feature suggestion, EPWING support, I think it'd make the app more useful as even people that moved beyond or wanted to move beyond bilingual dictionaries could use it for that. Regardless, thank you for the app

I'm currently working on an entire dictionary replacement that will add many more languages than just English (JMDICT). It is a lot of work trying to add all this new stuff, whilst keeping it compressed nice and tightly. I hope it will be worth it! Thanks for writing!

Awesome program! Small bug though: When switching between portrait and landscape mode, open dialogs (search results etc.) close.

Thanks for reporting this to me. I'm aware of the issue and I hope to fix it soonish.

This is one of the best apps of all time! Great UI, respects privacy, and the Kanji breakdown is world class. As a user and a developer, this is the highest quality language application that I've ever seen on any platform! No ads and upfront about data collection is great too. I also like how the data sources and their usage licenses aren't hidden. Amazing work.

I'm glad other people notice the things I notice in apps! It's great to hear! Thanks for the nice words!

Please send me an e-mail! I'm not sure how possible it will be, but there might be a way to get them back.

Is it possible to get strokes thicker when viewing stroke order? The thin green line is hard to see.
(Received on 2014-04-06 01:34:28)

I agree. I've got no idea why I chose thin light green. Uuurgh I'm so stupid.
