Hello, Craxic, thanks for creating this app! Looks pretty, super helpful with handwriting recognition and free without ads!
But somehow recently I keep losing my list. The first time, there's an error message, which said if I continue, I will lose the data (that time I was just searching word meaning, I don't think I did anything unusual). I clicked cancel, but still lost the list data anyway. Since I kept a backup, I got some of my lists back (I forgot to backup recently).
Second time, there's no notification at all. I opened the app, and the lists are already gone. I tried to load the backup, but nothing restored despite the message 'backup restored'.
I'm not really sure what is the problem, I never delete any cache/data from the android app settings either. If it helps, I'm using android 4.0 on sony phone.
Oh, and it would be nice if you can add settings so people can choose if they want the app to automatically backup their data every few days or so?

Thanks for taking the time to write such a long descriptive feedback! As you can imagine, it's quite a difficult issue to debug, and it's been plaguing a few Akebi users for quite some time! I remember doing some testing with someone over email, and I put a few extra checks into Akebi's saving routines. What I found was that after successfully saving the data file with no errors, if I immediately opened it up again, all the contents would be gone! It was really really odd! I've never seen anything like it. I think I will need to add some checks so that in some cases (or maybe even by default) Akebi will save and load from the same place it does backups. That way, you won't even need to do backups! Thanks again for the kind words!

Thanks for making such an amazing app! I've always wanted an electric dictionary but I think Akebi is so amazing that any electronic dictionary would pale in comparison. Going to be using Akebi forever! :D

It's really good so far, but I've been facing a problem. You see, every time the screen is rotated search resets. Can solve that, please? and keep up the good work.

Oh yeah, that... I have that too. Luckily, you don't need to rotate it while you're in the middle of searching! I'll add it to the list of things to do! Thanks for the positive feedback too! Also: sorry for the very late response, I've been pretty busy...

There's a problem with the search. When I want to enter a second term, it bugs and goes back to first page with menu. And the space for handwriting is small, it's usable but small so I can't write big Kanji with lot of strokes. Anyway I think it's a handy app to learn both reading and handwriting. Thanks :)

Aaah... Those bugs where it goes back to the menu are very difficult to fix. I recall that this was an issue some time ago. Are you using the latest version? As for the handwriting entry, perhaps I could add a popout button to it... Also: sorry for the very late response, I've been pretty busy...
