Hi Craxic. I was looking for an app that will help me improve my vocabulary learning rate (I attend regular classes and get batches of words to learn). I needed a comprehensive dictionary to find all the new words with an easy to use listing ability and quizzes. And I found Akebi! Works great so far, but I do have tiny suggestions:

• Please extend quizzing options. Perhaps add some quiz stats to help keep track of how the user remembers new words. You did something like that with kanji, perhaps you can add it to the word lists?
• Please add an option to make the interface more... orderly. Dozens of randomly placed, randomly sized windows-8 style tiles are distracting, at least to me. I'd rather have them all one in a row or something. Also the word description is a bit of a mess, where the actual translation is tiny while 90% of the window is taken by the "remove from list", "customize" buttons and the "what will happen if you use the latter button" instruction.

Finally, the app very often freezes if I leave it at the list details screen.

Still, it is the only app I found with the options I needed and it does the job well, so ありがとうございます！

Akebi's Japanese-English translator search seems - to me - to work better than vice versa. Tried to search "top left radical" (of a kanji) in the Search bar and it came up with the word 誰. How should I search for English phrases and words in the future?

I downloaded tons of JP dictionary apps but I love your app the most. The design is cleverly beautiful. Great work! It would be more awesome if the app has lists of words organized by JLPT levels, types of word, and frequency. The feature will certainly improve learning Japanese. Please consider my suggestion. Thank you. :)

every time i rotate phone, input is deleted in the search bar. also, more automated search history would be good. maybe i just can't find that feature?

Great. helps me with my Kanji, could you try one for the language though. You know like actual Japanese words and how to say them. I am very good at the Kanji and I just started so, great work.

Hi. why does every third example in the example sentences database have 事がす or 事がする in them? I cant find anywhere online where this expression is used even once in the same context as in the examples. this must be a bug. can you confirm? thank you. Akebi is an invaluable tool

Sir, your app is one of the best Japanese dictionary that have used, but it has some lags. How do I search from English to Japanese? Moreover, it hangs very often. Apart from this it will be better if you can put the history search tag and copy button, thank you.

Just a couple of questions. Since the JLPT test now has 5 levels why is it that you still have the old 4? Secondly, regarding the reference numbers you are using for Max Hodges' flash cards, are they from the 1st or 2nd edition? The latest edition has been out for a while, I believe. However some people (such as myself) have a mixture of both sets, so it would be easier if there were reference numbers for both. I very much like the app so far, but I haven't yet tested all of the features. I like that I can choose kanji from one of the original lists and create my own lists from them. I have done this quite a bit, and I don't like that it takes 4 taps to do so, although I did get quicker at it. It would be nice to tell if I had already added a kanji to a list without having to tap on it first. Maybe color-coding? I also like the handwriting recognition method although I have been practicing stroke order. I haven't used it much in your app. I like the cross- referencing. I also like the extensive lists of words in which kanji appear and that you can add them to lists also. I haven't looked at the quiz function yet, so I can't yet comment. Thank you for your app.

This app is just amazing! I think I've never seen a hand writing recognition work so well, plus the search by radical and the auto complete are so convenient, it's not something you would expect from an app with takes such a tiny space. I'm surprise that it doesn't have more people using it... Nice job, mate. Just a little suggestion: you could include an option on the flashcard review from the lists so you can review cards starting from the most recent first, there are times I would like to review the words I just added but I'm too lazy to skip the other ones. Again, nice job and thanks for the awesome app. P. S. : very funny tutorial.
