ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္ အသံုးျပဳရလြယ္ကူျပီး တိက်မွန္ကန္ပါတယ္ ပိုျပီးေအာင္ျမင္ပါေစ

Thanks! Though, I've never seen Burmese before in my entire life!
(GT:ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်! သော်လည်း, ကျွန်မရဲ့တသက်၌မြန်မာတစ်ခါမှမမြင်ခဲ့ပါဘူး!)

Akebi Feedback #205

what is MdFst and VtLst ??
(Received on 2015-04-07 14:07:48)

I assume it means "Middle first" and "Vertical last". Not 100% sure though, those values come straight from KanjiVG. I'll look at changing them in the future, thanks.

Akebi Feedback #204

Hi, first of all great app, but i found one bug that should not be very difficult to fix, when you are taking a quiz of a list if you go from vertical to landscape the counter goes back to 1, for example, i'm at the 20/30 mark (2/3rds already made) and i go to landscape the counter goes back to 1/30 and i have to make everything again.

Hi there! Thanks for the bug report. I'm aware of it, but surprisingly it isn't as easy a fix as it should be :|. I'll try fix it as soon as I can. Thanks again!

Akebi Feedback #203

Hello there, Just want to say that when I try to see the composition of a big kanji, such as ''魔'', the decomposition (but only when I hold the phone vertically) doesn't show the ''ム'', which was far to the right side of the image with no possibility to scroll it horizontally (and I can say that there is the sign because when I hold the phone horizontally the image eas larger and let me see all the symbols). With that said, keep up the great work, this is one of the best japanese apps I've seen in the market, and I'm sure you can make it even better.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the bug report! Sorry for the very late response. My automated Akebi feedback email notifier thingy has been on the fritz recently it seems.

A map of Japan labeling the city's, regens, mountains and cultural places would be neet

Sounds like an interesting idea, but Akebi is primarily a Japanese Dictionary. I'll take a look at if I get time, but I'm very busy working on other parts of Akebi at the moment.

Akebi Feedback #199

sorry i wrote you again but i can't understand how to add words. i create a list and activate. after that i select the plus to add the word. for example. kobayashi a surname. if i wrote ko it appear the kanji of ko small, but if i push that the app add me ko alone while i want to add the other kanji near ko to form kobayashi. if i put only the hiragana i don't know how to change that with kanji. pls help.
(Received on 2015-03-17 06:57:47)

Yeah, probably yet another oversight on my behalf. Akebi doesn't have names inside its dictionary, so it can't figure out the Kanji for them. Just use a Japanese Keyboard :)

It would be helpful if you added Jlpt grammar too! I know it would be a good extra section since me and my friend use this app a ton. You could incorporate points from Imabi for this grammar section! PS will you be making an iPhone version of this eventually? I find it hilarious since most of the time, Japanese centric apps never have a Android version, but the best apps for studying Japanese are Anki and Akebi which are free for Android!

Hi there! Thanks for the positive words, and I'm so happy you and your friend use it Akebi so much! First off: Adding JLPT Grammar points to Akebi could be a little tricky because I would need to source the content from somewhere, and that content has to be licensed in such a way that it's legal for me to do that. I'm not sure where I'd find free-to-copy Japanese Grammar points. Second of all, I'm afraid I'm not planning on making an iOS version of Akebi. You need a Mac to develop for iOS, and I don't think it's fair that I should have to buy one in order to be given the "privilege" of making a free app for their platform. They should be paying me, if anything ;P
Anyway, really appreciate the kind words! I'm still working very hard on Akebi (on the bus to work, on the bus home, at home). Basically all the time. So please don't be worried that it's not being developed (as I feel kinda guilty that I haven't updated it in so long :/)
Take care!
