If you add conjugation it would make it the best app ever ^-^
Yeah, I've got to make that happen, sorry about how long its taking, I'm very busy. Thanks for the feedback though!
i have searched 火。 i want to read all the words 火 in slide show mode
There's no slideshow mode at the moment, but you can search for *火* to find all words containing 火.
please add an indonesia translate...
Unfortunately I'm not sure where to find an Indonesian translation source, so I'll have to take a look around for it.
よ! Lately I have rated this great app and now I want to report some bugs that I have found in kanji decompose feature. straight to the point ... kanjis like 傅,簿,博,専,薄 etc. in their decompose graph show that 甫+寸 is a part of them, but that's a mistake ... and it applies only to Chinese hanzi. In kanji it's 専 = 十 that pierces and replaces stroke in 田 + 寸. Jisho and Kanji recognizer also shows 田 instead of 用 To prove that I'm right . Thanks for this great app, we are waiting for updates (dark theme would be cool). Best regards, Aeit
Hi Aeit,
Thanks for letting me know about this, I'll take a look. The data for the Kanji Decompositions comes from the KanjiVG project, so perhaps I can lodge this problem over there.
Thanks,
Matt.
some English and japanese characters are just black boxes.
That's strange. This is likely a problem with your device font. Do you have this issue with other Japanese Apps? Could you send me a screenshot? Sorry about this.
thank you.
You're welcome of course! Glad you like it!
Dear Akebi People, your dictionary is the best ever. I use it daily for my studies. I wish that you could build in a facility to print the Kanji cards for study purposes. They are the most useful references I have come across; with their radical break downs and verb endings, I am often able to work out meanings I COULD NOT BY ANY OTHER METHOD I know this may not be relevant to what you plan, but as I use it on an android pad, to be able to print them out for when I am away from wifi reception would be brilliant. Thank you for an outstanding dictionary, yours greatfully Pamela.
Hi Pamela! It's really great to hear that you like Akebi so much, and I'm very happy to know that it helps you in your studies, so thanks! Printing out the Kanji as flashcards is a cool idea, so I'll definitely keep it in mind. However, I'm a bit confused: why doesn't Akebi work when there is no Wi-Fi reception?
also, the link to the changelog is 404ed
Done, cheers mate.
please make a paid version so i can bribe you to make it stop crashing when you switch apps while in list mode. if you opensource it, i'll take a crack at it.
Ehh, sorry... As you're probably aware, the activity lifecycle is a bit of a pain in the ass...
I haven't tried a lot, but my first impression is very good. Thanks for your work :) I have one request: please add the Nanori-reading (for japanese names)
Hi there! The nanori readings are yet another great idea, the only problem is that they reside in a different dictionaries. So in order to make that possible, I'll need to write a system to allow Akebi to search through extension dictionaries. Hopefully I can leverage some of the custom word code for this... But before I can do this, I really need to finish the current update. My exams are coming up very soon so after that I should be free to make that happen for the next few months.
