It's a feature I've thought about adding before, but like everything else, I've just not had time to do it. Really sorry! Uni life can be really tough!

Hi there! Sorry, at the moment you need to have a basic understanding of Hiragana and Katakana for this app to be of much use!

When searching for a word capital letters aren't recognized. Mine and many keyboards out there auto capitalize the first letter.

Yeah, sorry about this. It's fixed in the new version I hope to release by the end of the year-ish. If you want to track progress, take a look at the change log above. Thanks for the report though!

Hi! This is pretty cool. Is it possible to have filters for what kind of word though (noun, verb, adjective, etc)...? I've found that to be a useful addition in other dictionaries, so it'd be cool.

It's a feature I want to add, I just haven't had time to add it in. Sorry :( Hopefully this holidays I can work on Akebi full-time again like I did during my last break.

Hi! This app is amazing! I really like your handwriting recognition tool for kanji, it is so useful when you don't know the stroke order! I have a few suggestions that may help:
I really like you kanji list system, but I would like to be able to split the original lists (Jouyou or JLPT) into smaller blocks to learn more easily (with your flashcard system). Right now, I can make a custom list and add each Kanji one by one, but it is kind of tedious... A 'Select/Add several' would be nice (like make a long tap to enter 'select several' and then 'add selection to custom list').
When searching a word, would it be nice to be able to minimize the 'auto-complete' section. As an example, when I search for 'tonari', the auto-complete section is pretty long, and the kana match appears quite far. (hope you get what I mean)

You're very welcome! Thanks for the feedback and the great ideas. Hopefully when I get time, I will be able to implement some of them! I understand what you mean about the auto-complete, it's far too big and bulky and it would be good to hide it!

This is a feature I'd like to add, but it involves bringing in extension dictionaries. It's something for the future.
