Akebi Feedback #297

Just some random feedback: For the kanji stroke order animations, lime green is not the best choice for a white background. It's hard to see. Also, the strokes are too thin to be seen easily. Thank you.

Yeah, that was a terrible choice wasn't it. I've fixed that in the latest update, hopefully that will be out maybe before the end of the year. It depends how hard I can work!

Akebi Feedback #296

Thank you for putting up the changelog! I was the one who requested it ^^; Anyways, there's a strange issue I've been having lately. When I make custom words in lists, Akebi tends to crash if I click on the blue box next to the add translation button. It doesnt happen all the time, but enough to be troublesome. Can you reproduce that?

Hey there! Thanks for the idea for the changelog, it was a great one! I'm sorry to hear about that issue, but that entire system has been overhauled with a new one, so I can't fix it any more. Hopefully when I finally finish this update, it won't be an issue any more.

Akebi Feedback #295

This app is really impressive, thanks for your hard work! Is there any way to copy kanji sets? I want to build a set by starting with one that already exists and then deleting ones I don't need, but I don't want to mess with the original set.

I'm afraid there isn't at the moment, you'll just have to do it manually. Sorry about that :(

Akebi Feedback #293

It would be nice to know what words are used the most commonly especially when there are multiple search results. I hope you take this in for your next consideration! Also, thank you for this application; I'm very grateful (´ω`人)

Hi! Akebi should be ordering the words based on how common they are. The blue background shade of the words gets darker as they become more common. I'm not using the "High usage" tags at the moment for this though, so that could be improved.

My phone is broken which has a akebi list. How can i import the lists without opening the phone.
(Received on 2015-10-18 00:31:06)

Hey there! Unfortunately this is going to be really tricky. Akebi saves the lists in its internal data directory that Android assigns it. This is usually "/data/data/com.craxic.akebifree/files". Furthermore, these files are hidden from the user by Android and are difficult to access. If your phone is rooted however, you should be able to access this directory very easily. I assume that your USB is still working. I'm sorry that I can't be of any further help.

Akebi Feedback #291

こんにちは! ( ・∀・) I've been using Akebi for a bit of time already and I can say it's just... great! It's very helpful and I'm glad that I decided to use it. I never encountered an error or any type of problem. I only have a question about the conjugations: are they going to be available sometime? I'm sure you're busy, that's why I'm only asking if it's on the future updates list. Anyway, thank you for creating this gem and good luck with university! ^^
(Received on 2015-10-15 19:43:17)

Thanks for your understanding and the very kind words! Conjugations should be the next thing to do after I've finished this update I'm working on now. My exams are in 3 weeks, so once they are over I can work on Akebi full time. Hopefully I can make conjugations happen then.

Akebi Feedback #290

this app is great so far. really liking the ui style. ideas: 1. conjugation for verbs. 2. ability to create new list items from the search function 3. kanji grid is confusing to use. should be streamlined.
(Received on 2015-10-15 01:07:24)

Thanks for the ideas!

1. Conjugations are still on hold until I've finished the next update. Please see the Change-Log to see how that's going.

2. You should be able to do this! Just activate one of your lists, then press the "Add to active list" button once you've selected a word

3. Yeah, the Kanji grid is a bit of a mess right now. Hopefully I can get some time to fix it up soon.

Thanks!

Hi there! I've had a few users ask for that. As soon as I get time for this, I'll make it happen. Thanks!
