this new version is awesome. really loving having conjugation. keep up the good work.
Thanks!
First Î really thankyou for this awesome app 、this application really very useful for me and help me learn japanese a lot. btw. is it possibly that you can make every word show every form of it ? ex. て た ない る
Hi there! I'm not sure what you mean... Are you looking for conjugations? Like 行く to 行って, 行かない etc.? If so, they should already be there!
I can't get it to actually search after I enter text. can I only look up individual characters?
You should be able to look up entire words! That's very very strange. So if you click the blue search button in the main menu, and type the 3 English letters "iku" into the search bar at the top of the screen, you don't see any results???
If you could send me an email, I'd really appreciate it. Otherwise just reply here if that's ok!
minor trifle: the -> in deconjugated entries could be replaced by a Unicode arrow
Ended up replacing it with a comma, didn't want to bother with complexities of font support for such a minor thing. Thanks!
Hi, I'm fairly sure the recognition for 寒 is bugged, I've tried umpteen times in different styles and cannot get the app to recognise it for the life of me. Apologies if I'm just being an idiot Thanks Dan
No problems Dan. I'm sure its probably better in the beta. I've tried it and it mostly works. Thanks!
Hiya, really appreciate this app for its speed on my potato phone! Also just to let you know the Disclaimer/EULA has a misspelling "alergic"
Fixed in beta ;) Thanks!
Best japanese dictionary I've ever had. Thanks!
Thanks!
Akebi is the most useful learning and translation tool for Japanese I've found! Even though I have huge dictionaries for reference, Akebi is much more convenient and efficient to use. I have recommended it to others. The only improvement I can think of is to be able to reorganize the folders, lists, and list entries either manual or alphabetically. Thank you very much for your good work!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I'll have to think about the reordering thing. It's a large amount of work to add the UI in to let you do that. Anyways thanks again!
Is there any chance of adding multi-window support to Akebi (as seen on Samsung phones and the most recent Android versions)? Sometimes I need to lookup up words that aren't copy/pastable, and while I can usually get by with using handwriting recogniton, it doesn't always seem to work that well for me, so having the radical lookup etc. would be very useful for that case.
Hi there,
That's strange... Multi-window seems to work just fine for me on my phone. I'll have to try it on some others and get back to you.
Thanks!
I just made a looong list of words to study from a newspaper article only to find that they weren't saved anywhere. where did they go? (#`-_ゝ-) what more do I need to do to make sure that they're saved than just activating a list? it's not supposed to say "it's added". if there's no list activated right???
Hey! Really sorry about that! I've never heard anybody have that problem before. However, I'd recommend upgrading to the beta version. I'm almost certain you won't have this problem there. Sorry again!
