I think would be good if users can add their own examples for every word. Also, the N5 kanjis shouldnt be together with the N4. And would be good too if the app includes lists of vocabulary for evey JLPT level. Anyway I like a lot this app because allows me to make my owns lists, where I can add the words I want to practice. Also, the lists can be made easily. Also every worf includes examples an the info of their kanjis. I have installed lot of app to study words and kanjis for JLPT but this one is one of the better ones.

I've got no plans for custom examples right now, but if you're looking to add examples, just go to http://tatoeba.org/.
As for the kanji, I'm still looking for a list of JLPT kanji. Unfortunately, I only have an older list with N1-N4 (the older JLPT) kanjis. When I get a chance, I'll update it.
As for the vocabulary for every JLPT level, again, I don't have a list for that with the right license. I'll need to look around for one.

the buttons on the Japanese input keyboard are too small, and I can't make combinations like "kyu" or long vowels like "koohii". these things are very problematic and make the keyboard useless.

Hey there! Yeah, I'm afraid the keyboard is pretty bad at the moment. I'm busy working on the other features of Akebi right now, so I just don't have time to fix up the glaring problems with it. Best to give another app a shot in the mean time. Thanks!

I have prepared some lists on Android 5. I backed everything up. Now in Android I can not restore my files. I can ten tried /Android/data/com.craxic/akebifree but it does not work. Where are the files located?

Hey there! Backups made with the backup functionality are in /sdcard/AkebiBackup. If you're using Android 6 with runtime permissions, be sure to give Akebi the storage permission. Thanks!

still crashes if you have akebi in a quiz and switch apps or shut off the screen （forcing an app switch）. running latest beta on sgs3.

Hey there! That's extremely concerning to me. The only way this could possibly be happening is if none of the options are actually saving (in other words, all of the options will reset to defaults after you leave and come back). Would you be able to verify this for me? Regardless, the privacy of everyone is really important to me, so I'm really sorry about this. In the mean time, if you can't make Akebi stop reporting in another way, I only get a few numbers back about what features you use and your IP address (for location). So I hope that makes it less worrisome.

On a word page, the 'Examples （tap them for' line doesn't fit and gets cut off. On an sgs3 anyways. Pretty sure just deleting 'them' will fix it.

Sorry, what do you mean by the "top bar"? Are you talking about the action bar? That was already there before, it was just white.

The word definition page is getting bloated and not exactly in a good order. An inch for word info codes which is close to useless. Another inch for a blurb on lists. An empty conjugation slot. I think these can either be removed or made to take up less space. Another way to do it is allow customization but that might be a big code investment. Backup recovery onto beta worked flawlessly! I'm psyched to see what you've got coming. Oh, and gj moving the send button to the top in this menu so it isn't hidden by the keyboard.

Hey there! Thanks for trying the beta and giving me all the feedback!! I am unfortunately aware that the word details view is getting pretty bloated. Alas, its quite tough trying to pack all the data into one space. It tough to find the balance between "wow, that's a lot of data" and "woah what the hell is happening here, so much stuff". Making it customizable is pretty easy actually, and I intend to do it at some point. As for the send button thing, not sure exactly what you mean, I don't think I changed anything with that. But at least its better right! LOL.

Would it be possible to make decomposition go both ways? As in, you can scoll up in the tree to see kanji that use your current kanji as as part. !I feel like this would be a quite natural extension.

Hmm, what an interesting idea. I feel like I don't want to put it on the same tree as the decomposition tree since the kanjis in which this kanji appears is likely to be either very small or very large. But thanks for the awesome idea. I'll add it to the list.

Hey there! This feature is already available! Just go to your list, press the menu button in the action bar (or the menu button if its not there) and then press Import/Export.
