Akebi Feedback #557

Although I think this app has great potential, I will probably not start using it because it is too tedious adding the 100+ Kanji I already know to a Kanji grid set. Some kind of multiselect feature would be awesome. I also think you need to many clicks to add one item to a set. I would have expected something like: long press - add to set - <name>

Hmm, that's a shame. But you're right, the kanji grid feature is a bit of a mess and I should give it some love. If you want to add a bunch of kanji, the edit set page should let you just paste them all into a text box. Hope that helps!

This is a very good app! The best Japanese & kanji dictionary! Kanji searcher is perfect! List and kanji grid is good. Please, make full Hungarian translate for kanjis. Thanks for this awesome app! (A japanese learner from Hungary)

Hey there! Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately it's a bit tough for me to make Hungarian translations since I don't know Hungarian! If you want to help out, just shoot me a message. Anyways, thanks!

I don't seem to be able to restore backups on the beta. not a real problem to me but I thought you would like to know it. Android 5.0.2

That's... Bad. Not sure why that is. Definitely something to look into. Let me know what error you're seeing if you get this. Sorry about the late response.

I have never found a tool as useful as Akebi, great job! I'm suggesting it to all my friends!!!? if I could I'd like to suggest to add the option of adding a word to a specific deck of flashcards. for example now I'm studying a precise number of words for an exam, but sometimes when I read the examples or search other words I find ones I'd like to add to another deck(not the active one) for studying them in another moment. so if I had a little option button at the extreme right of the"tap to add to active deck" one, with the possibility of "add to deck 2" "add to deck 3"and so on I'd find it very useful. thank you so much for the great app, 頑張って続けます!

Hey there! I'm thinking of making a few changes to this whole lists thing to make it more logical. At the moment though, you can just press the "share button" at the top of a word to send it to any old list. Thanks for the feedback, sorry about the insanely late response.

This app is amazing!!! My Japanese friend would love this, but right now I'm more keen on learning pronunciation so do you think you can add the romanji? Still great, but I'd also love it if this would actually also 'teach' me how to pronounce it via romanji. Keep up the great work!!!

Hey there! Yep, I've had a lot of requests to add romaji, so rest assured it's on the list! Thanks!

Part of learning a language is being able to hear it. I enjoy this application but I need to hear the pronunciations too. Thanks!

Many people have requested Audio, but I need a good data-source. I'll look into it, thanks!

Akebi Feedback #551

Hi. I'd like to say that I find the beta version to be quite stable. It's stable and good enough to release, in my opinion. I hope you have my list of complaints I sent via the app a while ago. The tiny font used for examples in this version hurt my eyes. Please, make it bigger! I liked how in the mode where words are split up, you get the information for the word you touch at the bottom of the same page in the previous version more (in this version the info appears in another window). I thought it was extremely convenient on big screens, but maybe this is just as good, while I'm more used to that. Thank you very much for this extremely handy app! Keep up the great work!

Thanks!!! I fixed your problem by the way. Sorry about being so slow!!

I love the app, but wanted to report a few errors. I can't get it to recognise 算, and also there may be errors in the way characters with the left radical in 道 and kanji with the child radical 子 are recognised, I have to draw them with fewer strokes than I'm used to? please correct me if I'm wrong there, although I can't get it to recognise 算 even when Japanese friends draw it

I recommend to put the english translation of the japanese word or so what to put, the romaji.
(Received on 2016-06-06 07:28:36)
Romaji is a feature many have requested. I'll look into it, thanks!
