I would definitely pay if you ever make a preimium version. This is just brilliant.
Well that sucks for me since I have no intention of doing so! But if you really want to throw your money around, feel free to chuck it at a charity for me some time (let me know if you do). Thanks!
I will pay money for this once examples and conjugations have been fixed/are available. This is hands down the best looking japanese dict app I've seen. Judging from half an hour of exploring the app. Keep up the great work!
No need for your money :) Just donate it to a charity if you really want to. Anyways, I hope to work on the conjugations soon, but I'm a little busy fixing up the stability of the program right now. But what seems to be the problem with the example sentences?
I think it would be good, for us users, if in the "list" section you coyld somehow make and add for us, already premade lists of the words for each Jlpt level in kanji and furigana forms and have them seperated by colour depending on their frequency(i know im asking a lot, this is only secondary :P). Take this only as a suggestion and not a complain. Thank you :)
Great idea! Although, I think these lists would be so gigantic it would be quite a headache to get them working LOL. Anyways, I do want to make the colours of the words in the list change with respect to their frequency. I also want to sort them based on how well you know them. So I'll definitely keep this in mind. And no need to worry about complaining, constructive criticism is always welcome (even though you only wrote a kindly worded feature request)!
a history list of words that have been recently looked up would be wonderful. I find myself often looking up a word, then looking up another word but have forgotten the first word and need to look it up again. a easy to access history would be a dream in clearing this up! thanks for all your hard and work wonderful design, by the way!
Hey! I recently tried to add this to the beta, but it actually makes it crash all the time because of the bad way that Akebi saves its data. So I need to do some major work in order to fix this up so I can implement this feature. Thanks so much for the feedback, hope you can wait a little bit for me to get all this stuff sorted.
Hi there, whenever I search for a term, the keyboard pops up automatically on the result screen and blocks the view. Could you maybe add an option that the cursor won't automatically jump back into the text field when you press the search button? Best regards
Uurgh, sorry about this. I've got a lot of complaints about the keyboard popping up at annoying times. I've got to fix this up when I get a chance. Thanks!
Bug: attempting a search that contains 9 or more characters causes a crash (Using Samsung Galaxy S5)
Sorry about that, I'm working on it right now. Thanks for trying out the beta!
I cant restore my backup what happened
Really sorry to hear that! If you've got the chance, please send me an email so I can try help you out! I can't write it here or bots will scrape it and I'll get more spam than I already do. So please see the about page. Thanks!
Great app, thanks. There are some handwriting recognition issues this radical: 子.
Hey there! This issue is fixed in the beta version, so check it out if you've got the chance. Cheers!
when accessing kanji, i want to know the stroke order by touching the kanji picture
Hey thanks! I've done this recently thanks to another user's feedback. If you've got the chance, please try out the beta!
oh yeah, it is kinda hard to scroll all those kanji, please make a subgroup to make an easier access.
Yeah sorry about that, I wrote the Kanji grid many years ago when I was much worse at programming than I am now (not that I'm great or anything, but I'm certainly better than I was). I hope to redo that whole section sometime.
